I'm so not a lists person. I like to think there is creativity in being organic. But I concede lists help focus. So in a hat tip to Small Town Stories, below is a bit of a list for the weekend.
I have the use of the Strawhouse owners car for the weekend while they do business in Auckland. It's a green dollar deal though as you will see from the list below:
1. Clean my house
2. Clean the Strawhouse "homestay" - its true to say I'm a better "professional cleaner" than I am domestic cleaner.
3. Finish digging over the lawn and replant the patches
4. Buy mushroom compost, stakes, other assorted garden necessities
5. Stock up on a Pak N Save shop
6. Weed and dig over the rose beds - dig in the sheep shit
7. Stake the trees that need staking
8. Walk the TK "wine circuit" when in Martinborough
9.Go for a swim - probably at Huia in the Hutt
10. Pick up the Strawhouse owners from the Airport on Sunday
11. On Monday do 2 circuits of the Martinborough route on my bike (lets hope a week of rest makes this easy)!
12.Have coffee with the Frenchman and his wife
13. Construct and post on the blog a training programme for the next week to keep me on track.
A fairly domesticated list. Doesn't necessarily look like it will burn much energy. But it will, if I can tick everything off that list on Monday.
It's a year since I've driven a car. It's great to have access to a car for a few days, but it also "drives home" the fact I really do want to own my own car again now.
