Trick or treat ?

Is it wrong to hide from the local kids who are out trick and treating? Arguably it's one way to get to know the neighbours - something I'm not really that great at within the wider circumfrence of the neighbourhood.  And hey, who lets their kids out when there are mad, bad, and dangerous people "out there".  Which as you know, I am none of those descriptors.  I am too freakin "nice".  As I was told again today: Nice - oh, and very competent, and smart, and write well (although tend not to use a spell checker - well, not on my blog) etc  and all that.  Actually, today's news was a bit of a relief re a job I went for, nearly got, but didn't.   Can't so I'm gutted about it....Relieved, in fact, even though I still live with uncertainty.

Well, anyway I do! - hide from the local kids trick and treating.  I may have a black cat, but that's where it stops on Halloween.

Anyway, it got me thinking:  I am at that stage in the training programme pre Taupo where I need to trick both my mind and body.  The reward is the treat post race.  But for now the focus has to be on the trick aspects.

I do though celebrate Guy Fawkes, because as preiously noted on this blog - I love FIRE.  And since my supporters are co-fire kindred people, I've decided I'll defer Fireworks until party night at Kuritau.  Must stock up.  Will mean living on baked beans, but that's ok ;-)
